June 13, 2024 There isn't a legal or moral justification for the sanctions being imposed by the U.S. and it's collaborators against other countries including Russia and countries that do business with Russia. The first reason is because there is no definable basis for the sanctions. The second is that anyone could do the same thing to the imposers. Russia could shut down the water, sewage, energy and electrical systems in this country in minutes through the internet. Luckily, they aren't that stupid. It's more than obvious that an assumption of invincibility is the basis, totally independent of legal or moral logic. It's characteristic of bullies who attack others that they assume some injustice is being done to themselves. How invincible is that? It shows that stupidity is the primary basis for the purpose. That's why journalists keep saying "unprovoked" invasion is the problem. The sanctions began long ago, because the U.S. wanted the price of oil increased due to the expense of fracking as the only significant method left in the U.S. for getting oil out of the ground. Pumping it out costs about eight dollars per barrel, where fracking was costing about seventy dollars per barrel at that time. Now, fracking is harder digging and more expensive. But now, unprovoked means Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Where did journalists get that idea? Russia put up with the criminal insanity for years before being pushed over its red lines. Trump's first impeachment was due to disrupting weapons shipments to Ukraine. Weapons for what? Unprovoking Russia? Getting the weapons off their border has been the stated purpose of Russia independent of the stated attempts of the U.S. to destroy their economy for several years. Does someone have a right to destroy the livelihood of their neighbors and steal from them? It's just as criminally stupid to do the same thing to other countries. The immorality says social existence isn't what it is supposed to be or used to be.
