Demagogues promote quick fixes through wizardry. Why would anyone go along with it? Only because incompetent frauds acquire power and convince gullible sycophants that they can acquire power through fraud.

You might assume there aren't very many persons that stupid. How many promote the destruction of energy and transportation systems to remove a boogeyman from the atmosphere? That's how many persons are that stupid.

The worthlessness of so-called renewable energy is not invisible after decades of it doing nothing but producing blackouts, increasing the cost of energy by a factor of ten and destroying environments and resources.

The worthlessness of electric vehicles is not invisible after decades of no charging stations, exorbitant cost in adding a ton of extra weight to vehicles and depletion of minerals and rare earths.

The irrelevance of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is not invisible, as temperatures increase by ten degrees creating droughts and floods in some areas and not others. If humans might be part of the cause, who needs a ten percent reduction in natural catastrophes at the cost of destroyed economies and resources?

Those subjects used to be argued; but not anymore. What changed is fascism transforming into Nazism. Sycophants replaced journalists and real scientists were silenced or shoved out of science creating a consensus with no criticism being allowed.

Consensus is the primary source of power for corruption. It convinces gullible sycophants that they can acquire power through fraud.

Gullible persons use impressions of authority to determine what truth is. So power mongers create impressions of authority by spending money on empty imagery and spreading propaganda. Only frauds do that; so it is not a method of determining what actual truth is.

The motives and reliability should be visible in the character of the persons. The problem is that gullible persons look to the bliss of power to determine who is reliable; and it is only corruption that creates the bliss of power. Producing rationality is a lot of hard work, which doesn't impress gullible persons.
