Reagan conservatives came out of a background of politics where liberalism was totally prevailing—so much so that Nixon didn't even refer to himself as a conservative. So when Reagan got elected in 1981, conservatives came out of the woodwork to promote the conservative cause.

Conservatives assumed they finally achieved their rightful place as inheritors of social standards with the purpose of correcting the injustice of liberalism temporarily subduing them. Getting rid of "eighty years of liberalism gone awry" was part of the agenda.

Getting the government off their backs was one of their stated purposes. The first method was throwing out laws as so-called deregulation.

That's because conservatives are trying to remove any impositions upon themselves including demands from other persons. Operating by whim with no social structures getting in the way is how they do that.

Conservatives described their purpose as "creating a new normal." Later, they referred to the historical result as "the Reagan revolution." It was a revolution in the attempt to change what normal is. They weren't talking about a political shift but a social standard.

Normal is determined by the laws of the universe which define life and the requirements for solving problems. That means changing normal is an opposition to the objective realities created by the universe.

Not knowing what they were doing or the impossibility, conservatives have always been up against the force of the universe and erroneously interpreting it as enemies getting in their way and preventing them from correcting the standards of social existence.

The enemies of conservatives are always assumed to be liberals whether they say so or not. Liberals are identified by the opposing standard of producing rationality, which is the equivalent of bring down the laws of the universe and imposing them upon them.

Rationality is making relationships between realities by explaining claims. Corrupters view that process as some sort of dastardly rebellion against life, because it prevents them from being corrupters and imposes objective realities upon them. It also generates truth, while truth is the only force corrupters cannot subdue.

Reagan said, if you have to explain, you are already a loser. That statement unequivocally showed two major elements of Reaganism or the conservative cause. One is the opposition to rationality, as there is no such thing as rationality without explanations. The other is the need to be winners.

Winners are corrupters. There is no such thing as being a winner without using corruption to get there, because humans are subdued by problems which require objective reality applied through rationality to solve problems. The persons disappear in that process.

But corrupters don't disappear in a process; they are focussed on themselves as the center of existence and the defining influence for all that is right. That's because they are disconnected from the objective reality created by the universe in defining life and the solutions to problems.

Being disconnected from objective reality, corrupters exist in a totally subjective state. They do nothing but promote themselves and their values. It's inappropriate to produce subjectivity in the general, social domain, because subjective realities cannot be properly evaluated.

Subjective reality is that which originates within a person's mind. Objective reality is that which originates outside of a person's mind.

Corruption starts with the assumption that if a person could prevail against others, it would solve his problems. Prevailing requires the power to dominate. Mongering power is a process of taking over the social structures and using them for personal gain, which destroys the purpose of social structures in solving human problems.
