The courts are meticulously designed to create openness and accountability. Even if they get something wrong, the openness and accountability make it possible to determine if they did.

Openness and accountability are needed for public involvement in processes of social structures. Otherwise, something is being imposed onto people while they can't do anything about it.

Democracy is based on the concept that people should have some say in what influences their lives. It takes a lot more than voting for that result; but voting makes all of the factors relevant.

Most basically, the interactions of realities cause truth to evolve. Truth is alignment upon the objective realities of the universe that define life and solutions to problems.

So democracy requires interactions of realities; and openness and accountability are necessary for the interactions of realities. Obviously, people cannot discuss what they know nothing about.

But as corruption increases and overwhelms society as fascism transforming into Nazism defined as promotion of genocide, the darkness of concealment is relied upon to prevent truth from overwhelming the corruptions.

Corruption is relied upon by incompetents who attempt to make themselves winners by mongering power through force and violence as domination to prevail against other persons. Truth is the only force they cannot defeat. They can temporarily defy truth; but it increases when they do.

Truth is the communicated representation of unified reality. Unified reality is all realities that are consistently related to the objective realities of the universe that define life and solutions to problems. Truth prevails to the extent that it is produced, because it connects to the universe and all related realities.

Corrupters assume they can produce a better result through their subjective whims than rationality can produce in aligning upon the objective realities of the universe. They acquire that assumption because of their incompetence that causes them to be losers where rationality prevails and places demands upon them for constructivity.

In other words, corrupters substitute being winners for rational constructivity. They can't understand rational constructivity; so they assume being winners is the only purpose in life and rationality is for fools.

Being winners through corruption requires evasion of truth by preventing openness and accountability from occurring. So corrupters end up in the strange position of assuming nonsensical whims derived through ignorance and aligned upon values and motives are the highest standard humans can achieve; and anyone who doesn't like it is a trouble-maker creating an obstacle to solving problems.

So social structures were created to protect against corruption by instituting methodologies that produce the necessary openness and accountability required for constructivity. The U.S. Constitution was aligned upon that purpose in designing governmental processes that require openness and accountability.
