Competence has gotten farther and farther removed from political issues. Elites monger power to compensate for their incompetence. But Trump shows that non-elites can promote the most simplified form of populism and get even worse results due to incompetence.

Trump's so-called populism consists of infantile attacks upon obvious problems with no concept of what solutions would be. His guess at solutions makes problems worse, such as using tariffs to gain an economic advantage over everyone outside the country, while tariffs cut off supply chains and customers. Any idiot would notice the problem with supply chains and limited customers; but not Trump.

It's hard to say which is worse: more intelligent persons designing problems or stupid persons accidently creating problems. Voters just decided to try the second option, since it hasn't existed as an option in the past.

Three decades ago, global warming was a controversial issue, with about half of society on each side. The issues were not clarified well; but superficial arguments drew lines down the middle of society. No longer is there a controversy. Youngsters have never heard of an argument on the issue; they were simply indoctrinated much like the new math does. Journalists disallowed criticism of opposing views, until there was only one side to the issue, which generated a totality for consensus.

Consensus is the source of truth for society. It is the basis for "fact checking" as a substitute for science. How could all those authorities be wrong? Why wouldn't the most intelligent and worthy persons be determining consensus? There are answers to those questions; but they are not allowed.

Wouldn't any idiot know that one molecule in 2,500 is never going to influence the atmosphere? If asked that question fifty years ago, the answer would have been obvious. But not now days. The difference is consensus manufactured from motives to dominate through fraud.

Fake renewable energy is not promoted as a solution to problems but as an ever increasing war against the lower classes. Bigots assume they can survive with fake energy and transportation, while the lower classes cannot.

That fraud can be known by the contradictions and absurdities used to promote the cause. To say "carbon free" is as absurd as to say gravity free. Nothing humans do is free from putting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Trying to smelting more steel than possible on planet Earth and placing more concrete under it than can be processed on planet Earth is not assumed to be carbon free by anyone's imagination. Could the promoters of the cause miss that problem and be the determiners of fact and consensus? Not in any honest analysis.

Superficially, that problem says that the more intelligent persons promoting fraud know how to look after their own interests. But what it really says is that they don't have a clue what consequences are for their schemes.

Corrupters can't cross their bridges before getting to them. What that means is they don't have the slightest ability to predict or evaluate. Any six-year-old should be able to add up the numbers better than frauds do. But frauds assume that lying gives them an advantage. They miss the fact that modern complexities are so demanding that they tax science and engineering. How can the science and engineering be trashed to the advantage of dominating power mongers? Only total idiots could get that problem wrong, while they redesign the science and technology of society for their personal gain at everyone else's expense.

Not the least reason why Trump got elected is because he took the right position on all of the major frauds including the fraud of raising interest rates to improve an economy (He demanded and got quantitative easing, which is the opposite of raising interest rates.), the fraud of greenhouse gases, the fraud of junk renewables and the fraud of genocide being how to feed the widows and orphans. Of course, he will do the opposite after influencing the results; but Trump's sanctimonious positions shows how easy it is to see through the frauds that are overwhelming society.
