March 20, 2025 Evidence indicates that corporations are paying no significant federal income tax. Several years ago, they were said to be paying about a 5% tax rate. That was before a three trillion dollar tax give-away, which they spent on stock buy-backs. So they are probably spending almost nothing now days. Back in the good old days, corporations were paying 60% of federal revenue. They thrived and the country excelled. Now everyone is bankrupt. That's because the income tax has no definable tax base. It's whatever corporations want to give to the government. They adjust the amount through endless exemptions. Warren Buffet complained about not being taxed enough. Why don't corporations want to support the government that they depend upon? Once upon a time, they did. Why not now? The reason is because since then incompetent power mongers took over the social structures and they bankrupt everything they touch including their own companies due to incompetence. That's the main reason why universal healthcare is not possible. There needs to be a tax base to support it. Corporations are not going to change their standard for that purpose. It means the tax base would need to be definable and reliable. Only an expense tax would be suitable for the purpose. If corporations can pay their rent and electricity bill from day one, they can pay for government on day one. The Europeans have the equivalent of an expense tax, but they called it a value added tax to conceal the altruism, as if they would be accused of communism for admitting it's purpose. The only difference is the amount of mathematical complexity. Yet there is no mention, in politics or journalism, of corporations needing to pay a significant amount of taxes, while rich individuals are supposed to carry the burden. Why? It's unimaginable. Do politicians and journalists actually believe the conservative gibberish about corporations needing government assistance to improve the economy? Nothing could be clearer since Reaganism that corporations don't need government assistance to rip everyone off. And nothing could be clearer than the relentless tax give-aways to corporations having no other purpose than using the expense as the pretext for destroying social programs for the needy. Fraud Is Needed To Monger Power
