Social Structures align human activity, sometimes around purposes, such as religion, sometimes around protection mechanism, such as governmental laws, sometimes around production requirements, such as corporations and sometimes around accumulation of knowledge, such as science and medicine.

The absence of social structures reduces the complexities of social activity to the whims of persons. Centuries ago, there wasn't much social complexity; and quasi kings were required—some good and some bad. But single persons cannot handle the complexities of modern existence.

Yet corruption is always an attack upon social structures, because social structures place demands upon corrupters which expose them as incompetents and corrupters. It is the personal reaction of corrupters that cause them to attack social structures, not some sort of philosophy that says doing so is good for anyone.

However there is a rudimentary rationalization that looks sort of like a quasi-philosophy, as corrupters try to get other persons to buy into their schemes. They pretend that some good comes out of their corrupt schemes, as if they were solving someone's problems through corruption.

That quasi philosophy was most visible with Reaganism. Reagan said, government is the problem—a quasi-philosophy with no explanation or logic, while social structures were dismantled through so-called deregulation, attacks on labor unions and reduction of corporations to rip-off schemes instead of good-of-all production enterprises.

Corrupters despise good-of-all, which they view as some sort of communism. Social structures have the purpose of improving good-of-all. So social structures are converted into personalized, power mongering entities instead of problem-solving procedures by corrupters.

Even religion has to be converted into a one-man-band instead of a procedure for a purpose. Gullible persons assume some charismatic persons will tell them how to succeed at something. The followers look for personal properties trying to emulate the success of the controllers.

That's because the basic purpose of corrupters is to be winners, which is diabolically opposed to being constructive. Reagan apparently said, if you need to explain, you are already a loser. (Journalists often attributed that quote to Reagan years ago, so it probably originated with him.) It says the purpose in life is to be a winner and rationality is for fools. Rationality requires explanation of claims. Winning means dominating through force and violence to prevail against other persons.

What corrupters miss is that everything constructive requires demanding methods and standards as rationality aligned upon the objective realities of the universe that define life and solutions to problems. The demands have to be put together through social structures, so everyone doesn't have to re-invent the wheel every time they do something and more importantly so existence is not dependent upon the knowledge, purposes, motives and values of single persons.

In other words, social structures are designed to allow a complex social order, where the absence strips all complexities from society including the ability to maintain technology and solve social problems.
