Real science is a reliable method of determining basic knowledge through measurements as evidence. Strict standards are required to create the reliability. Why bother? The attitude that has overtaken society has replaced the reliability with the charlatanism of ancient times, as if it didn't matter.

In general terms, the public assumes that society is producing better science than ever. The fact checking and propaganda have been more convincing than real science which is obscure. What they are missing is that real science doesn't work the way fact checking is used. Real science is inseparable from the evidence and measurements that tell what it means. There is no such thing as evidence and measurements in the fake science that is overwhelming society.

There is a methodology problem, not just at the science level but the social level. Propaganda and fraud cannot exist where there is proper methodology, in science or society. Fact checking is the most visible example. Science does not exist where there is fact checking, because real science cannot be reduced to fact checking. The complexities and depth of real science require explanation of claims and the reliability of evidence. No such thing exists in the fake science being imposed onto society.

Having know-nothings impose the fake version of science onto society with no criticism being allowed should say how corrupt the subject is. Complex subjects cannot be properly represented by persons who do not understand them. How did society miss that fact?

The frauds grew incrementally over time, until no opposing realities were allowed to exist in the media. It was then the totality of the consensus that erased the need for correct standards, explanations and evidence. Those standards should not be ignored under any circumstances. Their absence should be a clue-in that propaganda and charlatanism is the problem. The overwhelm of society with fake science and technology is an inseparable part of the fascism that replaced the social structures with power structures including the government.

Why it matters is shown in the amount of concern and social investment in the errors. Fake science and technology are bankrupting society, destroying energy and transportation systems and environments and misdirecting efforts away from solving real problems such as pollution, toxic substances and degradation of the lower classes.

Incompetent power mongers assume they are better off in destroying the rationality that exposes them as the corrupters that they are. What do they have afterwards? More problems instead of fewer. A fake economy is supposed to be telling people that they are better off, while they know they are worse off.
