Power as virtue is what makes propaganda work. Use superlative adjectives for power mongers and negatives for losers, and the Nazis win. Hitler's propagandists replaced a government that way.

What else does anyone have to go by in a technological society that is too complex to understand? The alternatives are winners who acquired power and losers who complain about the results. Who would want to join the losers?

The tragedy is that the opposite is truth. The losers are always right and the winners are always corrupt, when going by impressions. Not the least reason is because it takes domination as force and violence prevailing to create winners. If people only knew that, most corruption would end. The skin-heads of the eighties said, some persons don't have enough sus (suspicion). It's too bad more persons don't know that.

Another tragedy is that the least informed authorities tend to be lawyers, because they are so involved in the technicalities of law that they have no time to spend looking into other subjects. An example is a lawyer who left Washington as administrations changed and wrote a book saying, sure, micro-evolution exists, but macro-evolution does not. The creationists used it as their bible. It's like saying short sticks exist but long sticks do not.

Why would a lawyer know anything about evolution? It's strange that the less anyone knows about science, the more they think they know. That's because science is so complex and obscure that most persons don't have enough knowledge on it to know how complex and obscure it is. It takes knowledge to know what one does not know. Scientists know they don't know a lot of important things; but nonscientists don't know that.

An extreme and obvious result is to assume the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change) is the definitive source on global warming. All they are is a bunch of political hacks required to promote the frauds on global warming. When real scientists try to correct their errors, they are shoved out of the processes. (See link below.)

Proper methodologies would fix the fraud problem. But that means a lot of work, where the quick fix is assumed to be the real thing. The proper methodology for fixing fraud is rationality, which means relating to the objective realities of the universe that define life and solutions to problems. Rationality is neither winning nor losing. The persons disappear in the process.

The primary requirement of rationality is to explain claims. If all claims were explained, corruption would hypothetically end. But "just trust us" takes care of everything, when power mongers are viewed as winners and winners are assumed to get there by being superior persons.

It's not a requirement to study technical subjects to get properly aligned upon rationality. All that is required is to demand explanations which include criticisms. Rational persons will always explain. Even the most complex technical subjects can be explained for the public by real scientists. That means anyone who refuses to explain and requires trust only is on the wrong side of objective reality.

But power mongers conspire to put know-nothings in control of propaganda, because know-nothings have no ability to explain and they are not going to strike out on their own. So the know-nothings imposed the fraud of global warming onto society and did not allow criticism of the claims.
