Conservatives attempt to use government to redesign the social order. That purpose is totalitarianism. It prevents people from running their own lives.

The valid and constructive purpose of government is to remove obstacles, so the public can solve problems in line with the effects upon their own lives. That includes preventative laws and large scale projects which cannot be handled otherwise.

Reagan said, government is the problem. Conservatives still promote that cause without quite as much outward appearance to attract criticism. Why are conservatives so obsessed with controlling the government, if it is the problem? They want to use government as a source of power, not a source of laws. That means chaos power as in totalitarianism.

More basically, conservatives are trying to remove all obstacles to the expression of their arbitrary whims. That's because ordered existence and rationality create demands upon them which expose them as the incompetent corrupters that they are. Incompetent corrupters are drawn to the conservatives cause for that purpose—to eliminate impositions upon themselves, so they can more whimsically influence everyone and everything without obstacles getting in their way.

Even more basically corrupters acquire an ethic or quasi-philosophy of uninhibited expression, which they call freedom. Freedom is the most common concern that conservatives promote. Why focus on freedom in "the land of the free?" Because conservatives want total social freedom to do as they please.

What conservatives miss is they don't have a right to do as they please to someone else, because people have a right to run their own lives. Conservatives are too ignorant to extend their evaluation to the rights and concerns of other persons. They unbelievably assume that doing anything they want to other persons is of no consequence to the other persons and has the only significance of making life easier for themselves.

Since there are corrupters doing that, people decided millennia ago to create social requirements as laws to prevent corrupters from doing such things. Government evolved out of that concern.

Evolved processes are not as disposable as corrupters assume. The process of evolving aligns infinite complex and abstract relationships in such a way to improve something. No improvement, no evolution. That means dismantling evolved processes is not the bliss of brilliance that ignorant corrupters assume it is, which includes such complexities as globalized trade in addition to constructive and valid government.

Government acquired the need to remove social problems beyond using simple preventative laws in order to allow the public to solve problems. Regulatory commissions are supposed to do that. The so-called deregulation that was instituted during Reagan years is a contempt for that purpose. Improvements are always needed for everything; but throwing out essential processes is not how anything is improved.

That means evolved government is far more than elected officials making decisions. But you wouldn't know it from conservative harping. Conservatives respect nothing but their personal, selfish motives.

Elected officials manage the complexities of government, not redesign them. Congress does some redesigning; but conservatives try to skip over that process in allowing nothing to get in their way of imposing their corrupt whims onto everyone. There is no place for ordered existence in their purposes of doing as they please, everywhere all the time.

Managing government in a democracy places demands upon elected officials to accomplish tasks and resolve contradictions that do not have complete solutions. So democracy is an averaging process in the attempts to meet the needs of the most persons for the greatest good.

Averaging for improvement without complete solutions is not a definable process. That means placing demands upon politicians and expecting them to solve some problem is inappropriate and not constructive. Yet the demands get sharper, as social problems increase.

It's the responsibility of the public to solve the problems, not the politicians. That's why Johnson said, you convinced me, now go out and make me do it. After forty years of fascism being instituted as the official social purpose by the Reaganites, the deteriorated social order does not have immediate solutions. There needs to be decades of undoing corruption starting with truth about the nature of the problems and solutions.

Reaganism was the unwitting instituting of fascism in every sense due to the purpose of conservatives in removing obstacles to their corruptness. Reaganites called their ethic "a new normal." Getting rid of critical laws as so-called deregulation was how the Reaganites attempted to produce their new normal. They said laws were forcing them to fight their war with one hand tied behind their backs. What they got wrong is that both hands were supposed to be tied behind their backs, because they weren't supposed to be fighting any war.

Fascism is the socialization of corruption. Getting rid of government and its laws and making it the official social policy, as the Reaganites tried to do, is an attempt to institute fascism as the new normal.

Normal is a social and religious ethic, not a government product, because only the laws of the universe can determine what normal is, since the universe defines life and solutions to problems. Only rationality aligned upon the objective realities of the universe to sustain life by solving problems can be the real normal. That means its beyond arrogance and stupidity to assume humans are going to create a new normal.
