There are several reasons why fraudulent science prevails over real science in society. Most basically, consensus as alignment upon the power of numbers prevails over rationality. That means errors cannot be corrected, because it takes rationality to correct errors.

Then all sorts of secondary effects add force to the corruption. Rationality becomes threatening instead of correcting; and no criticism of the errors is allowed, while real scientists are shoved out of the process if not out of their jobs.

It's all due to science being too complex to evaluate by nonscientists. Missing realities don't get filled in through criticism, because it is impossible to put knowledge into someone else's head. People have to acquire their own knowledge, or it doesn't happen. So missing knowledge gets replaced by alignment of realities upon motives.

One of the worst things about errors in basic knowledge is that impositions of fraud destroy human rationality on a large scale. It's an insult to human existence to have know-nothings imposing stupidity onto society in place of five hundred years of evolved knowledge, as persons who have never studied an iota of science call real scientists deniers.

When corrupters are trying to rationalize their ignorance, they assume they know all there is to know on a subject. It's the bliss of ignorance. It takes knowledge to know what one doesn't know.

An example is creationists assuming they were going to out-science the scientists in proving that life was created ten thousand years ago through intelligent design. They found a geologist who said rocks are created in five hundred years, which is why dinosaur fossils are found in rocks when only being a few thousand years old. Then a lawyer said that micro evolution does exist but macro evolution does not. That's like saying short sticks exist but long sticks do not.

It's the same effect as Trump followers looking only to conservative propaganda for information and missing everything that is going on. Why don't they watch some normal news? It's because their missing reality puts normal information in conflict with the alignment of realities upon their motives. Without knowledge, realities get aligned upon motives, which puts them in conflict with objective realities.

That means explanations are of no relevance in correcting errors which have been socially prevailing through consensus. And it means fascism increases as frauds replace rationality. The complexities of science seem to create fascism instead of knowledge. Theoretically, such corruption would not be inevitable; but the problem is that the social standards have been reduced to rubble, as power mongers took over the social structures and converted them into nonfunctional power structures.

Deterioration of the education systems shows the result. Decades ago, the education system stopped teaching kids to read, as phonics type teaching was discarded and kids were supposed to learn by trial and error. Something similar occurred with so-called new math.

When corporations headed for Asia several years ago, they said they couldn't get suitable employees in the U.S. and lack of education was one of the reasons. Now know-nothings expect to "bring the manufacturing back," as if it left for no reason, while foreign-educated workers are needed for technical subjects. If it were just a few dozen workers needed, why not? What the know-nothings are missing is that there are now several billion workers producing globalized products. It's not the same process that it was during the fifties. Manufacturers cannot stay in business producing for a small group of domestic consumers while being noncompetitive globally.
