It's necessary to understand what power mongering is to understand why decimating everything and replacing it with totalitarianism isn't the solution to problems. Power mongering is replacing rationality with domination to prevail against other persons.

Power mongers assume the economy consists of mongering power, while all power mongers can do is exploit, which degrades the economy.

There are two levels to economic activity. The upper level exploits and degrades economic activity, while the lower classes produce the results. At some strange level, corrupters know that; so they want to enslave the lower classes to get the work done. The problem is, they assume that the upper classes contribute to that process by managing it.

What corrupters miss is that, even if the managers are needed and some make the process work, the constructive managers are not the ones mongering the power.

Power mongers degrade the economy, which corrupters cannot comprehend, because they assume power is truth, knowledge and virtue.

The result is that power mongers increase power mongering as the supposed fix for the economy, while all it does is degrade the economy. That's why conservatives keep taking from the needy and dumping dollars wantonly onto the rich and powerful. They assume increased power is the answer to everything. The result is the opposite of what they expect.

A shameless concept that started with Reaganism is that lowering taxes for the rich and corporations will increase government revenue by improving the economy. Which is the same thing as claiming "all the boats will rise" (by trickling down wonderfulness), as the rich and powerful are made more rich and powerful.

The highly visible result of the opposite happening doesn't phase conservatives, because they are clueless on objective realities and they monger power in contempt for visible results. They align upon motives and expect results to follow. Results follow the motives but in the opposite direction than expected.

What corrupters don't want to accept is that it takes rationality as alignment upon the objective realities of the universe that define life and solutions to problems as the required methodology for accomplishing any results. Corrupters fight a war against rationality, because it exposes them as the incompetent corrupters that they are. Then they imagine results in contempt for the opposite being observable in contradiction to their assumptions and motives.

Conservatives harp laissez-faire and free competition; and then they assume corporations need government hand-outs to improve the economy. That's because their thought processes jump off the tracks when going from rationalized mechanisms to mongering power. They assume more power for the power mongers will solve social problems, simply because they strive for power, not because of evaluation of actual results.

The Rigid Complexities

A generalized, erroneous assumption about the economy is to view it as disconnected elements that can be manipulated. As always, increased complexities result in interdependent relationships that cannot be broken.

Biological evolution shows the nature of the problem. Humans evolved after the complexities of biology got so extreme that contradictions could not entirely be resolved. Evolution pasted over conflicts with partial solutions that left a lot of potential problems.

In biological terms, evolution became so highly differentiated that all of biology will die out within two to ten million years due to an inability to adapt, as interdependent relationships cannot be broken.

That problem is universal in all complex relationships including the economy. The more the complexity, the more the interdependent relationships that cannot be broken.

That problem increased exponentially in recent years, as digital processes reshaped technology. Now days, products are produced in many steps involving separate companies. Companies need to interact a lot and maintain close relationships creating one, large, multidimensional network. That means there are no options for screwing around with the process. All change has to evolve with compatible relationships to previous forms.

So-called bringing the manufacturing back would require destroying the network of relationships; but there is no manufacturing to be brought back. Everything that exists now days is vastly different from the factories that left.

In fact, companies that left said they could no longer produce in the U.S. for many reasons, because globalization required whole new products produced in whole new ways with global markets. No one seemed to believe them in U.S. in their claims that the factories are going to be brought back.
