The main-stream media has changed drastically over recent years, which is why the public is disconnecting and subscriptions are down. Reverting to extractive procedures, as always, is how the media attempts to stay afloat but hastens the demise.

The nature of the drastic change is omission of information. What is the media for if not information? Absence does not have a logical explanation, because it is not a product of logic; it's a product of incompetent power mongers conspiring to dominate the social order. They need an absence of rationality which exposes them as the corrupters that they are.

Since the results stem from conspiracy rather than laws of the universe, the results are pervasive. The same occurred throughout the internet, as information was stripped and nonfunctionality removed rationality from the obstacles that power mongers face in overwhelming the social order.

Social media replaced the "information super highway" in the attempt to distract youngsters to prevent them from finding out what is going on.

The most telling example is the new form of so-called artificial intelligence. It is designed to strip information from supposed information by using quasi averaging of other sources. Specifics don't average; only summaries average. Summaries are overviews which have specifics removed.

Removing specifics from communication is how dumbing down is being used by incompetent power mongers to prevent the public from finding out where their problems are coming from. Without information, propagandists can tell the public that they don't have problems, as occurring with economics.

Propagandists are telling the public that they are wrong about the economy being bad, because the unemployment rate is low. Being overwhelmed by economic ruin, with housing and rent unaffordable, advanced education out of reach of most persons and healthcare expenses at bankruptcy levels, is just imagination, because the unemployment level is only 3.9%. It takes information to prove otherwise, which removes the counter-argument to the propaganda, when the information doesn't exist.

When the internet became available to the public during the 90s, it was called "the information super highway," because it became a source of information to the general public. The response of the power mongers was, "get those crazies off the internet."

There was no equivalent of QAnon at first, just social critics who found a new voice. It takes information to have a voice. To take away the information is to take away the voice.

So power mongers forever try to keep information away from the public. At one time, they tried to keep the public from reading Bibles. Of course, they tried to keep the blacks from getting educated during slavery times. Now they add the pretense but still have the same motive. Taking away "affirmative action" and making advanced education unaffordable have the same purpose.

Stripping information out of the media is part of the age-old process of keeping information away from potential critics. The ability to remove information from the media is another story. It's the story of fascism taking over the social order.
