The nature of the target persons is one of the differences between the boogeyman and science. The target of the boogeyman is kids who don't know what a boogeyman is. The target of science is adults who are supposed to know something.

But fraudulent science has the characteristics of boogeyman instead of knowledge. A boogeyman in the atmosphere will destroy everyone, unless all resources of society are directed to getting the boogeyman out of the atmosphere.

You didn't know that? Do you know what carbon dioxide is? It's some great big creature in the sky that eats humans. What did you think it was? The public isn't told what carbon dioxide is. If the subject were science, a lot of abstract knowledge would need to be explained. "Carbon free" and "on par with coal" is how the boogeyman eats people, not science.

The science of carbon dioxide says that it only absorbs three narrow bands of longwave radiation at 2.7, 4.3 and 15 microns. Only cold substances give off such long wavelengths; and cold substances give off almost no radiation for carbon dioxide to absorb.

Then there is the not so trivial of a fact that when the boogeyman is surrounded by 2,500 more relevant eaters, it loses out on everything and starves to death. The air temperature can cool 20°C at nights, because a transparent substance emits radiation into space infinitely easier than opaque solids such as the surface of the Earth. That means the atmosphere is a "heat sink" in that it removes heat from the Earth and sends it into space. Yet incompetent frauds assume it traps heat.

So why is a fraction of a degree centigrade relevant, when the atmospheric heat is radiated away at nights reducing the temperature? Twenty one degrees could be radiated away as easily as twenty degrees (It varies with humidity and other substances in the atmosphere.), except that the boogeyman doesn't really create one degree centigrade. The one degrees is supposedly the accumulation due to "trapping" over some undetermined amount of time, while the heat dissipates away continuously, day and night—somewhat more during the day than during the night.

People really have to be dumb to believe in the boogeyman. Why are they so dumb? Have they never studied an iota of science? Has no one explained the science to them? Any number of real scientists tried to explain the science; and they were shoved out of the process if not out of their jobs, while know-nothings pound the boogeyman into everyone's head with no criticism being allowed.

Why are the social structures so fraudulent that the public can be lied to about a boogeyman in the atmosphere? The social structures have to be nonfunctional fraud to get to that point.
