Organic food production is being subverted by not allowing ammonia based fertilizer to be used as a source of nitrogen, when food is labeled as organic. People exhale ammonia. Ammonia related fertilizers are the best thing that happened to agriculture since the invention of steel.

One of the results is the use of sewage sludge for fertilizer. Sewage sludge will destroy agricultural ground for the next billion years due to heavy metals. Supposedly, the heavy metals are being tested. That's fraud. A uniform distribution is needed for conducting tests; and heavy metals are not uniformly distributed.

The frauds go so far as to say sewage sludge improves soil. Any soil that needs improving with sewage sludge is not suitable for agriculture. The sandy soil of California had a few advantages years ago being easier to irrigate. That problem is no longer relevant, as hard soils can be irrigated by properly mixing in refuse or using drip irrigation. And hard soils greatly improve growing conditions due to capillary action which is lacking in sandy soils.

The best source of irrigation water would have been the Missouri River, which flows through the upper plains. That river water is being used to promote barging in the Mississippi River, which it drains into. Why barging? To pretend a Tom Sawyer fantasy and a minor economy with barging. Shipping wheat from Minneapolis to New Orleans would be cheaper by first class mail than barging, if all of the expenses were considered including periodic flooding due to mini dams used to hold a stable water level for barges.

But that problem has been secondary to the latest fraud, which is running an oil pipeline under the Missouri River in two places for the Dakota pipeline. Such pipelines systematically break about every ten years. Dumping oil into the Missouri River every ten years will pollute the water to unusability. The Missouri River is a few hundred feet below the level of surrounding terrain, which means a pipeline break within ten miles or more will dump oil into the river.

The biggest fraud of the pipeline is that it could have gone around the river at almost the same length by going down the James River valley, as other pipelines do, because the James River valley is totally flat and very wide with very little water going down it. The length would have only been a few miles longer; and the price would have been cheaper. So why was the pipeline run under the Missouri River?

The reason why it happened is because opponents were greens trying to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. To suggest going around the Missouri River would have been approving an oil project instead of removing a boogeyman from the atmosphere. So opponents went for all or nothing and got nothing.

Notice that several major frauds mentioned above are due to know-nothings running our lives into a pit; and there are endless more examples to be mentioned. There is an underlying social problem. It is not simply stupidity, which is a relative concept. It's the standard of imposing the stupidity onto society. It takes fraud methodology to replace rational constructivity with stupidity.

Rational constructivity requires explanation of claims. If claims were explained, no erroneous assumptions could exist. So the explanations are omitted in the attempts to prevail in using fraud to solve human problems.

Reagan said, if you need to explain, you are already a loser. Reaganites instituted the fascism that is destroying the social order as the official standard, which they said was a "new normal." The real normal is determined by the objective realities of the universe which define life and solutions to problems.

The endless frauds being imposed onto society by know-nothings include so-called "no till" agriculture. Brainless persons assume no-till is something like primitive ecology which must be good for agriculture and humans. The opposite is the truth. No-till means planting crops without proper methods of doing so. Tillage is needed to break up the crust on the surface between rains, so water and oxygen can enter the soil. Tillage also mixes debris into the surface to improve decay and stop erosion. By leaving the debris on the surface, water runs under and around the debris creating erosion.

Trying to stop gully erosion resulting from no-till has been the largest subject studied in agriculture, with, of course, no progress being made. So why the no-till? Because it is need for GMO corn and soybeans. Eliminating tillage is the purpose of GMO corn and soybeans.

Contrary to the claims of know-nothings, GMOs do not have the purpose of improving yields. Yields are typically 70% of normal with GMOs. The purpose of GMOs with corn and soybeans is to allow spraying to replace tillage. Tilling takes a lot of time with machinery. Spraying is contracted out. So GMOs allow about twice as many acres to be farmed by a single person. But the price is soil running into the oceans due to lack of tillage.

Planet Earth could sustain 50 billion people easier than it is sustaining 8 billion, if resources were developed instead of squandered. Agriculture would be the least of the problems. Organic beef could feed fifty billion people, if beef were fed on alfalfa instead of corn and soybeans. Alfalfa has more than enough protein, grows wherever grass grows, usually requires no chemicals and is a leafy form of roughage that cattle evolved on. The only reason for replacing such roughage with corn and soybeans is because excess fat is produced by the starchy nutrients; and power mongers like juicy steaks, which means marbled with fat.

Why not produce cheap and environmentally friendly beef fed on alfalfa for some people instead of health-destroying, toxic beef fed on corn and soybeans only? Because of power. With GMOs, the corn and soybean industry moved out of the agriculture world and into the power mongering world.

Dairy farmers operate by narrow margins. They often go under as economies fluctuate. They could keep doing the same thing by feeding beef instead of dairy cows, because they usually feed their dairy cows alfalfa instead of corn and soybeans. So why won't they feed beef alfalfa instead of going out of business? Because power mongers prevail. They don't allow someone to change the nature of the industry for the good of mankind. They have know-nothings imposing their frauds; how could they fail?
