Why Globalization Is A Good Thing

August 27, 2024

Globalization is good for the same reasons improved technology is good. First and foremost, globalization extends recent technology to a much broader range of persons. Less visibly, globalization overcomes totalitarianism by placing objective demands upon the social order. Then efficiency is improved with increased specialization and by selling to a larger group of persons.

Of course, as always, those are exactly the reasons why corrupters oppose globalization, though they have to rationalize claiming ridiculous results such as bringing the manufacturing back. While everyone else is globalizing with large, specialized and efficient factories, some tiddlywinks factory selling to five customers is not going to be competitive. That's what's wrong with compulsive nationalism.

Incompetent corrupters assume they can shrink existence down to themselves and their friends. Their attempts to do so never get past their wars against the rest of the world. In doing that, they waste vastly more resources than get applied to useful purposes, which is one of their purposes. They promote waste, fraud and abuse attempting to shove lower class persons out of the economy.
