A definitive element of rationality is explanation of claims. Corruption requires an absence of explanations, because explanations expose the incompetence and fraud of corruption.

Rationality is alignment upon the objective realities of the universe that define life and solutions to problems. Alignment requires explanation, because no one is going to get the task accomplished in isolation. Non-isolation requires explanations, so others can be part of the process.

A related process is democracy. It is often said that democracy requires an informed public—informed, so a whole society can be part of the process instead of isolated exploiters.

Disagreements are allowed with rationality and explanations. In fact, disagreements can only occur when explanations clarify. Otherwise, what is there to disagree with?

So corrupters avoid explanations to pull something off. No one can run interference with their corruption, if they don't know what it consists of.

Everything comes out of a dark pit with corruption. Just trust us, is how corrupters do things. They are supposedly superior persons; so whatever they decide is supposedly good for everyone. What if their superiority is fake and they are worthless corrupters? Only explanations allow people to determine the reliability of claims.

Reagan said, if you need to explain, you are already a loser. He assumed being a winner is the purpose in life and rationality is for fools. Rationality requires explanation of claims.

It shows how systematically corrupters avoid explanations. They can't be winners where there are explanations.

And it shows why rational persons are not trying to be winners. They would need to be exploiting corruption to be winners.

Explanations produce a result that is good for everyone instead of for selfish persons trying to be winners. Only with explanations can people align upon the same purposes in a democratic manner.

Explanations are an essential element of producing truth, while corruption cannot exist where there is sufficient truth. Truth is the communicated representation of unified reality. Unified reality is all reality that is consistent with the objective realities of the universe. Truth is as developed as it is available to numerous persons through explanations.
