The Fraud Of Artificial Intelligence August 9, 2023 The persons who are involved with so-called artificial intelligence show their stupidity in not realizing how far removed from intelligence their product is. Regardless of what intelligence is, the programming method is so rudimentary that its limitations should be obvious. Yet the experts don't see it. That problem is totally consistent with the criticism of fake science and technology. Incompetents are so busy mongering power that they don't have time for rationality. Ignoring what intelligence is, consider what the computer programming consists of for so-called artificial intelligence. It is nothing more than looking for probabilities in word relationships. Combining words in usual ways is an extremely limited processes. Then some fraudulent patterns are added to get specialized results, for or against some purpose, which is nothing but exploitation which misrepresents the wizardry of the machines. Probabilities of word relationships are not even concept relationships. Patterns of words are not concepts. Patterns are a large part of what corrupts human thought and behavior. Computers cannot go from words to concepts, because concepts are so complex—even to the point of changing constantly with cultures and having multiple definitions for the same words—that endless computer space would be needed to try to put together a concept from a word. Concepts would require compounded complexities which would tangle a computer into knots. Then the assumption that the results will keep increasing to create more intelligence than humans is another bit of stupidity. The basic process has already done all it can do. Adding more volume does not change the nature and limitations of the process. What does constantly change is what long ago existed, which is to overlay patterns and graphics with designs for impersonations. That's not an increase in intelligence; it's more on the order of fraud, which has a forest of exploitations to mow down. The net effect is to aggregate more and more patterns, while patterns are never going to be a substitute for awareness, thought or judgement. Not knowing the limitations in looking for patterns to copy shows what a bunch of incompetents acquire power. The persons who work with artificial intelligence actually assume the result will keep getting more magical, until it equals and surpasses human intelligence, as if every element of human intelligence existed in the computer programs and only needs to be amplified to surpass humans. The only factor that is going to be increased is quantitative. Increasing the quantity of garbage is not going to give it new qualities. Of course, they are hyping their product to cash in on big bucks. But while they hype their garbage, others are using it for criminal purposes. The junk almost has no other use than criminal purposes, because real progress in a complex society is too demanding to improve upon it with quantitative techniques, while criminality is reductionistic and does not require qualitative complexity. One of the things the process of creating artificial intelligence shows is how limited experts are in what they acquire for knowledge and experience. They are so focussed on narrow details that they miss a large part of life and complexities which are needed to create a perspective on what they are doing. Yet the public often assumes such experts must be wizards who can solve all of their problems. The opposite is true. The technical experts are so narrowly focussed that they do not have good judgement on the problems or solutions in life.
