There is no such thing as renewable energy. The sources of wind and solar are too dilute. There is not enough metal on planet Earth for the amount of transmission lines that would be needed. The low hanging fruit is already gone—since ten years ago.

Look at what a windmill is: five or ten million dollars worth of metal in front of a small amount of moving, unreliable air. Multiply it times any number of windmills, and that's how much environment, energy and metals are being destroyed and getting in everyone's way. It's not a small amount. At 3-5% of the electricity as renewables in the U.S., it's already too much. The clutter is destroying environments and making electricity unreliable.

What incompetents mean by renewable energy being "on par with coal" is that a watt of energy is produced at the same cost. But they are comparing the total cost of coal energy to the windmill or solar nameplate rating. The watts produced at renewable sources are 5% of the cost. The other 95% of the cost of renewables is in off time, transmission lines, heat loss and back-ups, which means renewables cost twenty times as much as coal power.

The end result is that the 3-5% renewables in California increased the cost of electricity by a factor of four (16-20¢ per kilowatt hour). The 15% renewables in Germany and England increased the cost by a factor of ten (40-50¢ per kwh). Coal powered electricity costs 4¢ per kilowatt hour when not encumbered by renewables.

No one can get past 15% renewables because of the fluctuations. Back-up systems are too slow to remove rapid fluctuations, and electrical systems will not tolerate more than 15% fluctuations. So Germany reverted back to coal at 15% renewables, and England reverted to nuclear at 15% renewables.

A technicality nonscientists don't realize is that up to 60% of electrical energy is lost to heat every time it is touched. Fifty percent loss is built into long lines to reduce the amount of metal. The length of transmission lines needs to be increased by factors of thousands for renewables because of being a long ways from consumers.

Electricity is the most inefficient form of energy. Yet incompetents assume it is the most efficient. Propagandist led them to assume that. What it means is that too many persons who know nothing assume they are supposed to be telling us something they know nothing about.

The path to an energy solution is being closed. The few remaining fossil fuels could be used for transitioning to a real solution. Instead, fossil fuels are being squandered recklessly, while a real solution is not on the agenda.

Burning natural gas to generate electricity is about ended, because the only U.S. source is fracking, which has become unrealistic already. Natural gas was needed for specialty purposes. It won't exist for that much longer.

Incompetents took over science and led gullible fools to a dead end with no solutions. Then incompetent journalists went along with it and closed to door to real science and technology.

On top of that, there is no such thing as so-called greenhouse gases heating the atmosphere. That means clean coal would be the answer for about a hundred years, until realistic nuclear energy is produced. Perhaps generation qrz will figure out how to produce nuclear in a more responsible way.

Nuclear is the only long term solution. There are safe methods of producing nuclear, but incompetents hijacked the subject. There is no such thing as hydrogen fusion producing energy, which is why dozens of fantasy projects produced no results.

The assumption of fusion energy stems from Einstein's errors. Einstein was an idiot relegated to a patent office. He squared the velocity of light in E=mc², while there in no such thing as velocity squared. Unsquare velocity, and there is no energy in his equation.

The public was led astray by power mongers. Power impresses gullible persons, because it is designed to do so. Reductionism and fakery replace the complexities of science and engineering in the propaganda of power mongers.

What incompetents got wrong is assuming that power mongering is the answer. Only incompetents monger power, because the only thing power can be used for is destroying rationality. Aligning upon power and expecting power mongers to be the solution, resulted in a railroad job of fraudulent science and technology. Frauds glamorized fakery, which redirected social concerns into delusional solutions which create problems instead of solving them.
