Corrupters orient their existence around worth, the simple reason being that they are worthless and trying to convince themselves otherwise. To promote worth, corrupters try to extract worth out of vulnerable persons and the lower classes.

To criticize the fraud is assumed to be condesending. That's because persons who have no worth are not supposed to be putting themselves above persons who have much worth.

Notice that that attitude adds a second dimension to the fraud. It goes from assuming corruption is worth to acting upon the assumption in redesigning the social order.

Building up the worthies and destroying the misfits was the most visible characteristic of the Nazis. They assumed they were producing an Arian race by doing that.

You say no one is that dumb now days. They are, because it is still a basic operating standard of imposed normalcy. Only the visibility has changed. In other words, the Nazis came out in the open too dramatically in promoting an ethic which is usually concealed in the background but always exists as the prevailing operating standards in society.

It's the same assumption and standard that says, power is virture and powerlessness is corruption, which is bigotry. Bigotry is a perpetual force in society. How it is expressed is highly varied; but the underlying assumptions are prevalent and resistant to change.

One of the invariable manifestaions of bigotry is that no one is allowed to criticize the power mongers, unless they are a more successful power monger, which means it never happens.

Bigotry is a reversal of worth, because corrupters are trying to reverse the truth about worth. But the process is not a method of salting out differences; it is a generating machine for bigotry, because falsehoods need a lot of effort to be promoted against the forces of truth which have the universe behind them. Trying to win at a losing battle is similar to gamblers' addiction. The more they lose, the harder they work to succeed.

Working to make bigotry a virtue requires stomping criticism out of existence. The attack of corrupters upon opponents is nothing resembling criticism, as Trump shows. It's more often name-calling. What cannot be tolerated by corrupters is the use of rationality to increase truth, because truth is the only force corrupters cannot defeat.
