The label alternative facts is how Trump's followers describe lies. They relate to lies as alternative facts as if falsehoods were as normal as the time of day. How did corrupters get that way? Necessity is how.

Incompetent corrupters live in an alternative world. It could be called a lot of things, but the word alternative is what they use for their state of existence.

In their alternative world, the existence of alternative facts creates the make-up of reality. Up becomes down and right becomes wrong. They say it is a 180 degree difference from the world of normal persons. When moving between their alternative world and the normal world, they look 180 degrees in the opposite direction.

Their alternative world evolved out of the forces that corruption creates. The endless rationalizations for corruption created the alternative world. By expanding and increasing rationalizations for corruption, a false set of realities develops. Increase that process over time, and the result is an alternative world made up of false realities which are given the nice label of alternative facts. That label sounds a lot nicer than destructive lying.

Corrupters assume their alternative world is superior to normal existence, because it makes corruption work for them. Without corruption, they are nothing. With corruption they are winners. Winning is the only test of value in their alternative world.

They state this belief in the value of false realities in the terms used by an aide in the Bush administration, as recorded by Ron Suskind, October 17, 2004, New York Times Magazine:

Suskind: The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." ... "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

They believe in the superiority of their alternative world and expect to leave the reality-based world behind. That seems to be why Trump assumes he won the election. They assume they are in a superior world which could not possibly lose an election. They are supposed to be leaving the normal world behind.
