Degradation means corrupters do harm to existence. That means harm to the complexities of life. Life is, most basically, unified reality. It's complex. Destroying life is anything that diminishes the unified reality that makes up life.

Corrupters are driven to destroy life. It's in the nature of corruption, which gets complexly developed due to the conflict between corrupters and their surroundings including the laws of the universe.

There is a line in the sand (and carbon) in the universe. On one side is right and proper. On the other side is incorrect and nonconstructive. The difference doesn't just show up as defiance of laws of physics. It shows up as afront against other persons, usually removed from the scene.

As a side point, corrupters try to please or impress anyone they are in contact with, which can include minorities, immigrants, communists, etc. They need the psychological acceptability. In fact, human evolution probably evolved some of that into brain cells for survival. So the enemies of corrupters usually need to be some distance away to be degraded.

But degradation of someone or something is needed as an operating procedure on the wrong side of the line in the universe. The reason is incongruous, as all origins of corruption are, because psychologically conditioned reactions slide continually from their starting points.

So seeing someone degrade someone or something puts them on the wrong side of the line defining right and wrong. The persons on the wrong side of proper insist that they are on the right side. But their claims are not credible, as the whole universe shows the difference. Being cut off from reality is part of the requirement for being on the wrong side of proper.

As usual, there are proper ways to degrade someone and improper ways (facetiously speaking). Reversing the concepts is always the task of corrupters. The difference is not arbitrary. Not only does the universe define the difference, the methodologies are different. It takes subjectivity and contradictions to be wrong, which diminishes the reality element of any wrong argument, while being right can bring down the whole universe endlessly with no contradictions.

The definitive difference is whether the claims are true or false. With truth, someone needs to be degraded; and when false, they don't need to be. Needing to be degraded means being destructive and requiring criticism, which isn't really degradation but just seems to be to corrupters.

An example is the endless quest of conservatives to take social assistance away from the needy. A real reason to do that is so far removed from any objective reality that there has never been any such thing. The motive is a degradation of the needy.

As proof, the corrupters also degrade the persons who say otherwise in place of rational explanations. In other words, degradation is their mode of operation. It's in their basic reactions.

This shows that degradation is a substitute for rationality, as all corruptions are. Every form of corruption attempts to replace rationality with an alternative mode of operation, while obliterating rationality is one of the tasks.

The forms of corruption that replace and oppose rationality are extremely rudimentary. While rationality is the size of the universe, opposition to it must shrink into nonexistence as a defense against the universe. The more developed corruption gets, the more it gets overwhelmed by the universe.

Therefore, opposition to rationality is not an alternative form of reality but a replacement for reality. Force is the replacement for reality. Using force instead of reality is to degrade or destroy.

The net result is how routinely corrupters degrade and assume normalcy along with superiority and self-righteousness in their use of degradation to oppose rationality. While normal persons are trying to explain, corrupters attack the persons involved. To degrade persons is to win arguments. Ad hominem attack is a common fix for losing an argument.

But it isn't just a degradation of persons who are arguing; it is degradation of types of persons and whole classes of persons and races that replace rationality for corrupters. Racism is an excuse for destroying whole societies and countries. Attacking persons replaces the need to be rational and constructive. Slogans and quips erase thousands of years of human evolution of knowledge; and attacking persons is more effective than destroying objects.
