Motive Driven

A large part of corruption is due to an absence of abstract reality which creates meaning. Then, corruption requires more corruption to rationalize the conflicts. When corruption gets significantly developed, motives become the driving force in conflict with realities.

When corrupters get obsessed in promoting their motives, they find that realities get in their way. They don't need to understand the realities, they just encounter obstacles to promoting their motives, and they assume those obstacles can be removed.

One of the biggest obstacles in the path of motives is the use of laws by governments, the simple reason being that a large part of the purpose of laws is to protect against corruption. Corrupters don't understand the purpose of laws, since purposes are developed in highly abstract terms. So corrupters assume the use of laws by governments is nothing but an obstacle that can be ignored or removed.

What is government without laws? There is nothing governments can be without laws but totalitarian dictatorships. That's why corrupters try to reduce governments to totalitarian dictatorships. They are trying to prevent laws from creating obstacles to their motives, while they assume the abstract realities that laws are made of are nothing but unnecessary nonsense and the adherence to laws is swamp.

Of course, the Bible says (John The Elder) sin is lawlessness—a three word summary of why corruption allows nothing but a totalitarian dictatorship for government.

Some persons assume a totalitarian dictatorship should work better than a constitutional democracy (a cluttered, nonsensical swamp, in their view). What they get wrong is that the forces which create the totalitarian dictatorship are nonconstructive and derived from incompetence. So there is no such thing as a totalitarian dictator who can solve anyone's problems or handle the complexities that governments get involved in.

In other words, anyone with a degree of competence knows that governments handle a lot of complexity which requires a lot of experience, specialized knowledge and human interactions; and they know that a totalitarian dictatorship can never meet those demands. The persons who get that wrong are not capable of producing a constructive government.
