The method of handling realities determines validity. There is such a thing as universal validity, which means obviousness of right and wrong. Constructivity is obviously right, and destructivity is obviously wrong. All corruption requires invalid methods of handling reality, because reality contradicts and exposes corruption. Therefore, the invalid methods should be condemning. Yet they persist and are imposed. In the broadest sense, rationality is the valid method of handling reality, and irrationality is the invalid method. But there is a lot of complexity involved. Rationalizing is one of the invalid methods used to promote corruption. Rationalizing doesn't look right. It attempts to impose incredible claims as fact. Adequate explanations would clarify the truth, but inadequate explanations are always an element of invalid methodology. Unfortunately, valid methodology is not demanded in society where corruption is being rationalized. The obvious reason is because valid methods of producing rationality would be a purifying process, and everything social is buried too deep in corruption to require purifying standards. Regardless of the reason, invalid methodology erases the meaning of claims. Yet invalid claims are endlessly used as the basis for social decisions. Nowhere is the problem of invalid methodology more obvious and provable than the promotion of fraudulent science and fantasy technology including global warming, renewable energy, electric vehicles, self-driving and travel to other planets. Until there are valid explanations, the result is fraud. The results have always been fraud, as the fakery could never stand up to rationality produced in a valid manner with adequate explanations.
