Corrupters assume they can destroy everything around them while nothing changes and they can keep partying forever. The reason why is because they exist in a tiny bubble disconnected from everything but the immediate. Their insecurities do that. It reduces their concerns to themselves and their primary problem of being incapable of functioning in a normal society. They try to change the forces around them while assuming nothing else of significance changes. So the result is to destroy while assuming nothing changes.

That process becomes fascism when corrupters acquire some political power and impose themselves upon others on a larger scale than usual. They assume they are accomplishing something by leveling everything around them. By destroying everything in sight, they assume they are solving their problems without anything else changing.
