While rights are "self-evident and inalienable" for some persons, the concept of rights doesn't exist for conservatives.

Rights are needed to protect victims from impositions of corrupters. But conservatives have never been significantly victimized and have no concerns for victims. They assume they have every "right" to do anything they want to anyone else.

Without a concept of rights protecting victims, "utilitarianism" is the principle of operation for corrupters. That means, whatever gets them where the want to be is what right is. Prevailing against opponents is where corrupters want to be; and they don't want concepts of rights getting in the way.

Since it is primarily government that enforces rights, conservatives despise the concept of government as a source of laws that restrict their ability to prevail against other persons. In place of government, conservatives want the power of persons to prevail. When achieved as completely as possible in the human society, it is Nazism.

Nazism is a suitable label for that social state, since it is the only example during modern times and has been extremely developed to serve as an example of the end-state of socialized corruption.

Conservatives harp endlessly on freedom. What they mean by freedom is the "right" to victimize anyone they want. There is no other freedom that they are deprived of. They relate their concept of freedom to government laws preventing them from victimizing others. They describe the result as being required to fight their war with one hand tied behind their backs. If they were really law abiding, they would know that it is supposed to be both hands tied behind their backs, because the purpose of the laws is to prevent corrupters from destroying their victims.

Conservatives claim to be "strict constructionists" and "originalists" in interpreting laws, while their purpose is to destroy the government as a source of laws, which they have been doing since 1981, when Reagan said government is the problem. Through so-called deregulation, they stripped the laws from government which were necessary in stopping corruption. The Trump Administration completed the process in shoving competent and experienced persons out of the bureaucracies and reducing the staff size to prevent them from getting their work done. Trump defied every law he encountered as a matter of principle with the purpose of using government for enhancing his personal power only.

Non-conservatives expect the Biden Administration to stop the encroaching Nazism, but the needed laws and competent personnel no longer exist for accomplishing the task. So the entire election process is being subverted by conservatives to make sure they never get voted out of power again.
