Competence determines whether power mongers properly represent their status as dominating persons prevailing against rational persons. Power mongers pretend competence as the reason why they are supposed to be superior. It's why Trump claimed to be a stable genius.

The rationalizing of corrupters is designed to prove the point. The purpose of their rationalizing is to prove that they are the rightful dominators of our lives.

But they don't just say, we are superior persons and must therefore be controlling everything. Instead they say other persons are so worthless that power mongers need to be fixing them. In other words, they aren't going to create demands upon themselves making claims about themselves. So they make claims about other persons to get to the same point. If others are worthless, then dominators are superior by default.

So dominators degrade others as their path to success. It's not a constructive thing. It's a degradation thing.

Therefore, the incompetence of corrupters is the primary significance of their fraud. Since they try to imply that they are worth something by measuring themselves in relation to the persons they degrade, the relevance is in their worth. What is worth for incompetent corrupters?

Getting to that point in a direct manner blows away the fraud of the rationalizations. Corrupters have to make a horseshoe loop to get to their absurd end-point of pretending to be superior and worthy persons. Going directly from starting point to end point obliterates their fraud. They are worth nothing; they are destroyers.

That's why the first concern about incompetent power mongers is their incompetence. If any other concern is substituted in for their incompetence, it is negated by the fakery of superior worth. In other words, it's supposed to be ok to destroy everything around them, because they are superior persons and all must be sacrificed to put them in control of our lives.

That line of rationalizing can only be exposed for the fraud that it is by focussing on the only point of rationalizing that matters: whether they are superior persons who must be allowed to destroy everything that gets in their way, so they can be the answer to everything.

Only the word incompetence directly addresses the only point that matters in the rationale of corrupters. There is no other concept that directly addresses the hinge-point of the fraud. The hinge-point is their superiority which justifies all destructiveness. If they are incompetent, there is no superiority to justify their destructiveness.
