Fake technology creates a model system for understanding the fantasy of corruption. The science and engineering of so-called renewable energy (as solar and wind power) is not evaluated now days, as the subject has become a belief system. The fact that nothing has moved forward in five years is irrelevant to the belief system of its promotion. The fact of no one being able to live with the result being ignored is how a belief system works.

But there are correct belief systems and fantasy belief systems. Believing that people are spiritual beings rather than molecules in motion has evidence that is evaluated. Believing in UFOs occupied by extra-terrestrial aliens is fantasy devoid of and in conflict with scientific evidence.

One type of belief is an attempt to apply evidence to the boundaries of knowledge. The other is a defiance of evidence in imagining or fantasizing outside the existence of knowledge.

Fake technology disconnects from evidence and knowledge in such an extreme way that it moves out of evidence based study and into a fantasy type of belief system. And yet it is officially promoted by bureaucrats and journalists.

Corruption is that way. It creates a motive for disconnecting from reality. The forces of corruption are entrenched in social structures to such an extent that they could result in fantasy in conflict with evidence based science and technology.

More explanation is of course needed to show how the fantasy contradicts the evidence for so-called renewable energy. Consider some terminology. The promoters say people are supposed to be driving electric vehicles because they are emission free transportation. Yet people are supposed to stop using incandescent light bulbs because they pollute the planet. Which is it? Is electricity pollution free or does it pollute the planet? Only a disconnect from evidence based science and technology could promote both as if contradictions were irrelevant.

What fake science and technology show is that corruption is a motive for fantasy. Corruption creates a need for alternative reality. The contradictions can be stark as indicated by Trump's lying being rationalized as "alternative facts." Why should alternative facts be acceptable? If more acceptable, should there not be more explanation of evidence? That's not the implication. The implication is that less evidence is more acceptable than unquestionable fact.

That problem stems from a decision to disconnect from reality as a preferred state of existence. Strangely, that state is viewed as superior to rationality based on objective reality. The mentality is sort of like going to a party and saying the confetti serves no real purpose. The purpose is to party, not manufacture automobiles.

Corrupters are in effect saying that partying is preferable to constructivity. They want to turn the life-blood of existence into a party in conflict with objective reality. That's self-defeating corruption, not a superior path in life.

(This is not the same thing as Trump promoters saying journalism is corrupt. They are complaining about journalists not towing the conservative line in glamorizing a totalitarian fascist. In other words, their bitch is too much truth in journalism. And this analysis in not a review of journalism to determine how much and where the problem is. It just says there are examples of corruption. Similarly, the examples don't say that government is the problem. Conservatives want to replace bureaucracies with totalitarian whims instead of improving government.)
