Why Falsehoods

Trump promotes obvious falsehoods, such as more persons at his inaugural than ever. He doesn't try to be credible, but he is extremely demanding. What is he demanding? Obviously, he is relentlessly and openly demanding personal loyalty. Building him up is supposed to be the purpose of government. Lying is a primary method of doing so.

After Trump got elected, the question was, how did we get here. The consensus was that there had to be something wrong a long ways back, but no one could quite pin down what it was. There were obviously a lot of complexities to the answer.

How about falsehoods being promoted everywhere including science. A lot of persons say there can't be falsehoods in science, because science is self-correcting and peer reviewed. That's no different than saying Trump never lies. It's really saying, we promote lies but lie about lying.

It's more than easy to prove through mathematics and every criteria that falsehoods are being promoted in science. Why lie about it? Trump shows why. Lying is promoted for a reason.

The reason for promoting falsehoods is always the same—keeping corrupters in control in spite of their incompetence and corruptness. Why does the public tolerate it? Because the ethic of corruption needs to be protected from truth and reason.

Anyone who wants to get more out of life than their incompetence produces needs to promote corruption to get there. Such persons therefore protect the standard of producing corruption.

Trump wasn't elected in spite of his lying; he was elected to promote the ethic of lying. There wasn't anything inconspicuous about Trump's lying on the campaign trail, as he claimed he would solve everyone’s problems without the slightest indication of how he was going to do so.

Trump got elected to promote the ethic of corruption, as indicated by an increase in his poll numbers every time he gets by with promoting a corruption. Winning at the process is the only requirement.

Perhaps a more important question is why do others put up with it. Most journalists seem to operate by the assumption that Trump got validly elected and everyone must respect the result. There is nothing respectable about demagoguery, and it should not be tolerated and protected as valid government.

But even more important is, why the same thing in science. If science doesn't stand, what does?
