There are two states of existence: power and constructivity. In the power state of existence, the decision making process is assumed to be the only thing relevant. Constructivity is below trivial; it is corruption and threatening, even if necessary. It's sort of like paving a street. After the work is done, everyone drives over the street for decades afterwards. The street exist for it's use afterwards, not for its production. Yet there are communistic types who think the street exists for the persons who produce it. They promote losing instead of succeeding. The purpose of power is to do the deciding. So power is sort of like management, which is professionalism, while production is sort of like slave labor, where people are told what to do. Seems so self-evident to power mongers. So they promote power mongering as the salvation of man, and they don't rest until they have power under their control. In fact, they don't rest; they are driven, because mongering power is a losing battle. One reason why power is a losing battle is because no one benefits from it but the persons who succeed in acquiring power, and they form a continuously shrinking group, since prevailing requires a pyramidal structure. The slaves are working for the good of all, whether they know it or not, and they usually know it. They promote the good of all and feel that they are contributing something to human existence. Anathema to power mongers. The good of all is for fools. It's like throwing your bread on the water. If you don't conceal and protect your bread, it will disappear into nowhere and be wasted. The underlying difference is in the purpose. The purpose of mongering power is to lift an infinitesimally small number of like-minded persons up at the expense of everyone else. The purpose of being an exploited slave is to improve conditions for everyone. The liberal-progressives promote the good of all and use government to produce equal opportunity, while the conservatives promote power mongering for their own benefit at everyone else's expense. The conservatives are driven, because they can never succeed at destroying everyone else for their own benefit. But they believe in their ethic, because it gets them where they want to be, while constructivity does not. |
