How Conservatives Buy Groceries
April 13, 2025 Conservatives don't just pay for groceries; they argue with the check-out clerk for a better deal. Where the price is listed at two dollars per pound, they want to pay five dollars per pound. They say they are tired of being ripped off with cheap groceries. If the store doesn't start charging more, they need to increase the tax to make up the difference. If the price should be five dollars a pound and they charge two, the difference is three dollars per pound. Divide by two; and it's a dollar and a half per pound. So the tax should be a dollar and a half per pound.
