Christ taught contact of objective reality as the basis for morality and life. Aligning life upon objective reality allows problems to be solved and people to interact in a constructive manner.

These standards do not exist elsewhere. Without them, the basis for decisions is whimsical and subjective. Dictators show how whim and subjectivity destroy social functionality. But there are also groups functioning in the dark including unaccountable governments which also produce whim and subjectivity in place of open and accountable objective reality.

Christ said to look and listen to acquire understanding and judge for yourselves what is right. Science obviously requires that standard. Christ said all of life requires that standard. The U.S. Constitution and Bill Of Rights applied that standard to the whole social order of the U.S.

Without these Christian and Western standards, there is no concept of social justice. There is nothing assumed to be wrong about arbitrarily subjecting vulnerable persons to injustices as a tool of convenience. Prevailing through unjust standards is the alternative that is always visible in the absence of Western concepts of social justice.

Nonfunctionality is the result of prevailing through injustices. People who live in fear attempting to please the emperor are socially nonfunctional.
