Corrupters view objective reality as a hostile desert which must be overcome for human existence. Replacing the desert with their own contrivances is heroic to them.

They got that way through corruption which puts them in conflict with the universe. Instead of viewing their corruption as the problem, they view the universe as the problem.

To them, defeating the universe is as natural as conquering the wild outdoors. They assume that human existence is based upon conquering a wild environment, and the whole universe is an environment hostile to human existence.

That's why they are so arrogant in assuming they couldn't be wrong in fighting a war against rationality. They don't know what rationality is, but they see it as promoting the hostile environment which supposedly destroys human existence.

Since it is impossible for them to properly evaluate objective reality, they assume no one else can either. So the persons who apply rationality to objective reality are supposedly doing something that is doomed to failure. That's how sanctimonious their war against rationality is.
