It started as a smart pill; then a methyl group was added and it became an inflation pill.

Inflation is increasing; and the inflation pill isn't stopping it. All it is doing is creating a recession. That's because not enough persons are taking the inflation pill.

It should have been started sooner, biophysicists said. We could have gotten more persons onto the pill by starting sooner. Now the delay is causing a recession without stopping the inflation.

Of course, there's a supply chain problem resulting in a shortage of products. This may require another tax break for corporations, so they can meet the demand.

With interest rates going up and the money supply going down, the stimulus for corporations will be needed to compensate for their reduced access to borrowing.

Cutting welfare will reduce consumer demand and cool the economy down allowing demand to equilibrate with supply. The recession may continue, but inflation will be brought under control.

An increase in import tariffs will take care of the deficit spending and shift the balance of trade toward exports. Increased exports will put more people to work and stimulate the economy cutting short the recession.
