There is a drift in liberalism by exploiters who try to justify themselves as lovey dovey while subverting the interests of vulnerable persons. Since liberalism is manifested largely as a concern for the needy, it's not the needy who are doing the faking, it's the somewhat successful power mongers.

Fake technology is the primary tool for justifying power mongers. There is a screwy logic to it. Supposedly, saving mankind through fake technology is loving the needy who are the most vulnerable to the problems that need to be solved. Global warming is supposedly more of a problem for the needy than the rich, so fixing global warming is supposedly loving the needy.

Except that the needy are the only ones who can't afford the result. When the price of electricity increases by a factor of ten, it's the needy who are hit the hardest. If there were a compensation mechanism, maybe the results would be unavoidable; but there isn't. Just let the chips fall where they may, which devastates the lower classes. The corporations get paid in cost-plus with guaranteed contracts (at the taxpayers and ratepayers expense), while the needy take care of themselves. It's about ninety percent of society that becomes needy at those standards.

Solar panels are a scam that would have put persons behind bars in the past, but now they are subsidized, if not required, by governments. The cost of electricity goes up by a factor of five or ten due to fake renewable energy, while persons with solar panels sell worthless wattage to the utility companies at that price. Can you image taking used bread to the grocery store and making them pay retail price for it?

So persons with solar panels get paid five to ten times the usual price of electricity to sell their junk to the utility companies when it is not needed, while ratepayers and taxpayers make up the difference.

This is why power mongers must put on a fake image of loving the needy; it's a compensation mechanism for the scam of making the needy and general public pay through the nose for the worthless technology. Electric vehicles and renewable energy create the same problem.

In this way, fake technology creates fake liberals. The fake technology is supposedly produced by persons who love the kids and pets more than anyone else.

A lot of social commentators have trouble explaining how all of society's resources ended up in the hands of the 1%ers. Fake technology is one of the mechanisms that does that.
